Thoughts Matter and How One Person Can Make a Difference

newdawn_bookcover_3dToday I have the great pleasure of being the host on Day 12 of the Virtual Blog Tour for A New Dawn Awaits by author E.Dee Conrad.

A New Dawn Awaits is a compassionate and inspiring channeled collection of short inspirational reflections, bringing together wisdom of the ages, showing us how to access knowledge that has been part of our consciousness, but has been dormant, for eons. E.Dee’s intention in writing this book is to help readers reach inwards into their divine essence and outwards to the energy that connects us as one humanity.

Yesterday, E.Dee visited Stuart Rosen’s “Gurustu’s Words of Wisdom Blog” at

For today’s stop on the tour, I thought it would be interesting to interview E.Dee on the topic of the timely message of this book and how each of us can contribute to humanity’s destiny.

Paula: The world is so vast, with multitudes of people, some of whom are simply existing day to day. How can each of us feel we are contributing to the larger destiny of humanity?

E.Dee: One person can make a difference. Each of us can make a difference by becoming aware of our thoughts. Thoughts emit energy and it is this energy that manifests into the physical reality we see around us. If you have positive thoughts – ones of love, kindness, compassion and forgiveness – you will be helping to create a world where there is limited grief, hatred, violence, and anger, if any at all.

The truly beautiful part is that you don’t have to try to change your thoughts – just be aware of what is running through your mind. At first, you will be surprised at how many critical and judgmental thoughts you have every day. Awareness alone is enough to bring about a change in your thought patterns without additional effort on your part. Your negative thoughts will automatically decrease and your positive thoughts will increase, bringing about a better life for you and everyone else.

Paula: Can you tell us why this book is so important?  Why now?

E.Dee: It’s not that this book is so important – it is the message that is important. This book is just one vehicle for a message that is being sent to humanity at this time through many voices and from many different sources. Different groups of people need to hear the message in different ways, depending on their energy systems, level of spiritual development and perspectives on life.

The message is that we have to take responsibility for our thoughts and actions and that we are all connected. It is coming to us at this time because we have reached a tipping point, a critical mass of thought, and are at the end of a cycle. Consciousness is cyclical just as nature is. How we behave, think and feel will determine the outcome – not what we might say or profess to believe. The time for action is now. This information is being brought to us at this time so we can make an informed decision, so we will be able to be a full partner in creating and co-creating our reality.

Paula: In your book you talk about the power that thoughts have in shaping our reality.  Can you give an example of what this awareness has meant in your own life?

E.Dee: Before a thought, there is an emotion driving that thought. I will focus on examples of how awareness of fear allowed me to let go of that fear.

Fear is the biggest impediment to a happy and fulfilling life. Fear is the biggest stumbling block in letting go of destructive thought patterns. Fear keeps us from living life fully. For me, this has been especially true.

For example, after I finished writing A New Dawn Awaits, I had to take an active role in getting its message out into the world. One way to do this was starting up a blog. It may sound silly, but I was scared to death of putting my writings on the internet because it meant I would be “seen”! I was afraid people would think I was a crackpot. I believed in the message I had been given and believed I did, indeed, have an obligation to put it out there. So, I reluctantly punched through that fear barrier and put up my website. I have had a blast with my website! Now I look back and just laugh at how something so small almost prevented me from moving forward!

The next fear barrier was doing radio interviews to promote my book and its message. My mind told me this was a “valid” fear, whereas the one about the blog was just a silly fear. After all, now people would be hearing my voice and what if I made a mistake on live radio and said something wrong! A month before my first two radio interviews, I was living in dread, full of fear. However, I chugged on trusting in my guides and the universe. Now, I actually look forward to doing radio interviews and am even co-hosting a three-day telesummit with Lynn Serafinn called “The Shift. The Message. The Transformation”, which is all about 2012 and the global shift in consciousness!

To sum up, once I let go of my fear, life began to flow. New opportunities came up and I really began enjoying the whole experience. I began to live life fully with joy, instead of fear and anxiety.
